As it has grown in popularity, the calibur of the fighters has also improved immensely. They are no longer just brawlers but they have become all round athletes. Chute Boxe Fighters Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Wanderlei Silva are among my favourite MMA fighters. Tough fighters with an emphasis on heavy hitting, they put on a great show for MMA fans. Both are from the famous Chute Boxe training camp. The following is a highlight clip of ‘Shogun’ and Wanderlei within the Pride FC organisation. Some great action! Kazushi Sakuraba: “The Gracie Hunter” The Gracie Family were undefeated in the world of mixed martial arts for a long time. That was until they fought Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba. The following is a highlight clip of the first fight between Royce Gracie and Kazushi Sakuraba. Gracie lost the fight after his corner threw in the towel. Gracie received so many hard kicks to the legs that he could barely stand up. A great fight!
